Day XVII

If you want to see this bigger, go here. If you don't, don't.

Spent a weekend doing very little more than watching Green Wing and a four-hour text exchange with Annie. Today's photograph of the corridor in my flat when everyone else has gone out is all to do with the fact that most of my time is now spent "Behind closed doors ..." ... how thrilling, in every possible way.

ahww, mr door's finally acting out his life's dream of actually being a proper working door!

man how pissed would people have been if there'd actually been a fire and they'd tried to get out of there hahah.

That was one of the things we (Amy and I) planned for the original door Amy painted on for her Art. The idea was to take it to Mells Iron Works, an 18th Century Iron Works in the woods of the valley beyond our town and put it in all the old doorways where the woodwork had long since decayed away and have her door in place of those ...

That never happened ... but, with a door of my own, there's still a possibility that it might ... would be an excuse to go out to the Iron Works which, although hideously overgrown is still fascinating and I'm sure would look amazing if I could do it justice ...

I think people would have been extra pissed off because I had chosen the ONE time that there was actually a real fire, amongst our many false alarms, to block the fire exit!
